Mr. Mark Fish reported that publication of materials to advertise the Tea Party and its purpose will be initiated this week. In the interim, here is the text:

The purpose of this rally is to insist Alaska's legislature sustain the governor's veto of the federal stimulus energy funds.

This action will reduce Alaska's responsibility for the national debt and assert Alaska’s right to reject intrusion by the Federal government into State and Local affairs.

Bring you signs,flags and friends. Help spread the word and encourage everyone to attend.

Discussion of the event served to clarify that the Special Session was called to avert a potential constitutional crisis within the Executive Branch with an appointed, but unconfirmed Lt. Gov. The opportunity to override the energy stimulus veto was subsequently incorporated into the agenda, as well as a proposal to address reinstatement of the state gas tax.

Both the senate and house leadership’s web pages clearly identify purpose of the special session, with the Lt. Gov. confirmation identified as the primary purpose for it.

(Kenai) - House Speaker Mike Chenault, R-Nikiski, today announced the House will gavel in at 9:00 a.m. Monday, August 10 in Anchorage for a one-day special session to take up Lt. Gen. Craig Campbell's confirmation as Lieutenant Governor. That vote, and another on whether to over-ride the governor's veto of federal stimulus energy funds, will come in a joint session scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

"Ideally, we were trying to get General Campbell's confirmation, which to me is the more important of the two topics, taken up July 25 so it would have taken effect before the power change-over," Speaker Chenault said. "But that date didn't work out, and August 10 seemed to work best for our members and those in the Senate."

The special session will be held at the Egan Center in downtown Anchorage, the same site as the one-day special session two years ago on senior benefits.

Speaker Chenault says the State House won't hold an additional confirmation hearing for Lt. Gen. Campbell during the one-day session, deferring to the House Judiciary Committee's informational hearing with General Campbell July 20.

Special Session Called for August 10 in Anchorage

Senate gavels in at 10am, joint session set for 1pm

(KODIAK) – Senate President Gary Stevens (R-Kodiak) today announced that the State Senate will convene at 10:00 am, Monday, August 10th, in Anchorage for a one-day special session to consider the appointment of Lt. General Craig Campbell as the successor to Lt. Governor Sean Parnell, who is scheduled to be sworn in as Governor later this month. The House and Senate will meet in joint session at 1:00 pm to take up that issue, and to consider a vote to over-ride the governor’s appropriation vetoes.

“I had hoped that we could get through the legislative interim without a special session, but for legal reasons we need to meet to confirm the Lieutenant Governor’s successor,” said Senator Stevens. “In addition, there was a great demand from a majority of our members to over-ride the governor’s veto of the energy stimulus funds as soon as possible.”

The State Affairs Committee will meet at 10:30 am to consider General Campbell’s appointment.

The special session will be held at the Egan Center in downtown Anchorage.

An override of the veto requires a minimum of either two-thirds (66%) of the members of both houses to vote to override it [three-quarters (75%) if the bill is an appropriation bill.] This is a high, and very high threshold for the legislature to override a veto. The consideration to override the veto clearly met whatever standards set by the Legislative Leadership to be added to the agenda however, and thus there is substantial reason to believe there may be enough votes to successfully override the veto.

Gov. Palin vetoed the energy stimulus funds for good reasons, one of which was to protect states rights. I initially described it as “sovereign” rights of the individual states of the United States, but was informed that sovereignty might not be a term widely understood, and the Prager Group is not the only target of this information. Further information supporting the veto will be forthcoming.

4.  Cease and Desist on ramming Legislation through- (Senator Tom Coburn proposed tying bills to what Constitutional powers they base them on)

5.  Only relevant issues in bills - NO pork or special interests tolerated!  (Feel free to note the worst abuses in your state)

6.  Responsibly develop our OWN energy resources!  (We have oil they're not drilling, gas they're not piping and new ideas they're not supporting-like the onion waste being used for clean fuel on a farm in Oxnard, CA-talk about cost effective)

7.  Have a committee of PRIVATE CITIZENS...doctors, lawyers, insurance reps, pharmacists, patients and front line caregivers draft the priorities that a  Health Care Reform Bill should feature!

8.  RETURN ALL POWERS BUT National Security and basic operations TO THE STATES (Let each STATE decide how to handle education, abortion, gay marriage, welfare, unemployment, environmental regulations, taxes, etc. This would greatly ease social tensions and allow us to refocus on the issues our forefathers intended us to in order to keep us a free Republic.)

****If you don't note anything else, get #8 out there in one form or another.  With power returned to the states we break up the momentum of such groups as the CFR,Tri-Lateral Commission, Bilderbergs and those pushing a One (or New) World Order and buy ourselves time to start to clean up the mess the politicians and enemies from within have created.

Of course, add your own as you choose.  The main point is to HAMMER HOME over one week's time that although we can't all be at all Tea Parties or March on Washington, MILLIONS of us are uniting to take back America from those who would destroy her while pursuing their own best interests.  As the truepatriots we are we can "Getter Done!"

After observing Obama on the campaign trail and during his first six months in office, we have concluded that our President lives and governs according to his own set of "Ten Commandments." They're certainly NOT the Ten Commandments you learned in Sunday  School. Why don't we walk in parades? By the time we get to the end of the parade, we'd have half the crowd walking with us and we can end the walk at a party!

Have  you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence?

Five signers were captured by theBritish as traitors and tortured before they died.

Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. 

Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.

Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.

They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.

What kind of men were they?

Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners; 

men of means, well educated, but they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured. 

Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the 

British Navy.  He sold his homeand properties to pay his debts and died in rags.

Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly.  He served in the Congress without pay and his family was kept in hiding.  His possessions were taken from him, and poverty wash is reward.

Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and

Middleton.

At the battle of Yorktown, ThomasNelson, Jr., noted that the  British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters.  He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire.  The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.

Francis Lewis had his homeand properties destroyed.  The enemy jailed his wife and shedied within a few months.

John Hart was driven from his wife'sbedside as she was dying.   Their 13 children fled fortheir lives.  His fields

and his gristmill were laid to waste.  For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to

find his wife dead and his children vanished.

So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and silently  thank these patriots.  It's not much

to ask for the price they paid, is it???

We've all seen the emails about Obama's citizenship.. This is a new twist WE hadn't known.  Interesting.

 More questions, and this time some good questions.

 While I've little interest in getting in the middle of the Obama birth issue, Paul Hollrah over at FSM did so yesterday and believes the issue can be resolved by Obama answering one simple question:

What passport did he use when he was shuttling between New York, Jakarta, and Karachi?

So how did a young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981, without the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with the price of a round-the-world trip just a month later? And once he was on a plane, shuttling between New York , Jakarta , and Karachi , what passport was he offering when he passed through Customs and Immigration? The American people not only deserve to have answers to these questions, they must have answers.

It makes the debate over Obama's citizenship a rather short and simple one.

Q: Did he travel to  Pakistan  in 1981, at age 20?

A: Yes, by his own admission.

Q: What passport did he travel under?

A: There are only three possibilities. 1) He traveled with a U.S. Passport, 2) He traveled with a British passport, or 3) He traveled with an  Indonesia  passport.

Q: Is it possible that Obama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?

A: No. It is not possible. Pakistan was on the U.S. State Department's "no travel" list in 1981.

Conclusion: When Obama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling either with a British passport or an Indonesian passport.

If he was traveling with a British passport that would provide proof that he was born in  Kenya  on August 4, 1961, not in  Hawaii  as he claims. And if he was traveling with an Indonesian passport that would tend to prove that he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967.

Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a "natural born" American citizen between 1981 and 2008.. Given the destructive nature of his plans for America, as illustrated by his speech before Congress and the disastrous spending plan he has presented to Congress, the sooner we learn the truth of all this, the better.

Count me in as one of those inquiring minds who'd at least like to know the answers to these easily answered (by Obama) questions.

A lot of you are saying, "leave it alone, it's in the past."  Well, not me!  If he can provide proof as he should have had to before being sworn in then I can leave this issue alone.  NO person that cannot prove citizenship should be allowed to hold ANY office in the USA!  Why did the acting government not require this of him?  Can anyone answer me that?

I know we all say that the little people of the world can't change it but I disagree there too.  Let's all get in agreement & pray!  That's what we have left that we can do.

They mask the effort as another Nanny state measure, but it is far more than that. They are legitimizing the Mexican Matricula Consular and Central American consular ID’s. The intent is to allow the Illegals to launder the money they make illegally and integrate it with the nation’s major financial networks. Some of you have already been working on the Bank of America boycott, so this is not completely new to you.

In California the program is called, “BANK ON CALIFORNIA” but in other states it may bear a different name.
